What can Hum to Melody detect?
The tool is designed for monophonic melodies: one clear sung, hummed or whistled note at a time. It estimates the fundamental pitch over time and groups stable pitch regions into melody notes.
What does pitch smoothing do?
Natural keeps more of the detected pitch movement. Clean groups nearby pitch estimates into steadier notes. Hard Snap forces the result more aggressively toward semitone or selected-scale notes.
What is scale snapping?
Scale snapping moves cleaned notes toward notes in a selected Major or Minor scale. Leave Chromatic selected if you do not want a scale restriction.
Are the piano, flute and guitar previews realistic instruments?
The current preview uses lightweight Web Audio synthesis with different timbres for piano, flute, guitar, violin and synth. It is for checking the melody, not for producing final studio-quality instrument audio.
Can I download audio of the generated instrument?
The current version exports standard MIDI. A rendered WAV instrument export can be added later with sampled instruments or a higher-quality synthesis layer.
Does ToolYogi upload my voice recording?
No. Microphone recording, uploaded audio decoding, pitch analysis, synthesized preview and MIDI creation happen in the browser. ToolYogi does not provide cloud storage for this tool.

Yes. The detected melody can be downloaded as a standard MIDI file.
Will it work on a full song?
It is optimized for a single clear melody line. Full mixes, chords and backing instruments can create incorrect notes.
Can it fix imperfect singing?
Clean and Hard Snap modes can simplify unstable pitch and optional scale snapping can move notes toward a selected scale, but the result is still an estimate.
Is my voice uploaded?
No. The recording and pitch analysis stay in the browser session.
